Francis Ngannou is set to face Anthony Joshua. This would be his second fight inside the squared circle. Ngannou’s first boxing match took place back in October of 2023 against the WBC heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury. ‘The Predator,’ was a betting underdog going into the fight but he looked far from one. Although he lost, many continue to dispute the result. In any case, the former MMA fighter has another opportunity to prove himself as a legitimate boxer against, ‘AJ.’
However, that might be an arduous task given the experience and skillset possessed by the British champion. But, Ngannou is cutting no corners for preparation and it is evident by his intense sparing.

In a recent Instagram post, Guido Vianello, 29, a heavyweight prospect was seen sparring with Ngannou. He has an impressive record of 11 wins with only one defeat. What might be more impressive is the fact that out of his 11 wins, nine of them, come via stoppages, giving him an 81% knockout ratio. The two happen to help each other for their upcoming fights and Vianello made it evident on social media.
While standing next to each other, in the ring during a training session, he stated, “Back on camp with @francisngannou to train for our next fights. Great quality work here in Paris 🇫🇷. Traveling and always building new Comfort Zones.” Meanwhile, Ngannou also acknowledged this in his own Instagram story, where he revealed they had their first spar and it was intense. “We’re out here working. First-day sparring [Vianello] did not go easy on me,” said Ngannou.

According to Gabe Rosado, the former professional boxer, Joshua cannot underestimate Ngannou in any circumstances. Why? Because Ngannou has proven to be a threat by knocking down Fury. While saying Ngannou can box and making a comparison, he stated, “Ngannou can fight.” He added, “What I’m saying, I think Joshua can’t take him lightly, it’ll end up looking like how it did for Tyson.”
