Gervonta Davis and Floyd Mayweather have had an on-and-off relationship lately. Davis became a protégé of Floyd Mayweather only two years after he started his professional career back in 2013. Under Floyd’s tutelage, the Baltimorean managed a flawless 26-0  but things had begun straining between the former mentor-mentee right before Tank’s fight with Rolando Romero in 2022. Gervonta left Mayweather Promotions and took charge of his own career. But that’s not all.

Floyd Mayweather has been in Dubai for quite some time. Now many would speculate that he’s enjoying his vacation there. Well, not according to ‘Tank’. Davis has claimed that Mayweather is stuck in the city and is unable to get out because of the huge debts he owes to the people there.

After this story, he posted a video of Shakur Stevenson calling out Davis for ducking him. Stevenson can be seen pleading with Davis to stop all the trash-talk and get to the negotiations part for their fight in the near future. Well, this video could be a way for Mayweather to showcase how Davis usually tries to dodge the important fights in his career.

Despite these two stories, Mayweather hasn’t given any response, especially about his stay in Dubai. The fans can only wait before the allegations made by Davis can be confirmed. What do you think about this beef? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section.
