As we all know, His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, a true devotee of boxing, is dedicated to arranging the best fights the sport can offer. In this connection, besides Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk and Matchroom vs. Queensberry among other events, Alalshikh hoped to stage Devin Haney vs. Gervonta Davis and treat boxing fans who dig a display of mouth-watering skills.

But Haney I want to see in my country and I send message from you now to him. I will try to do it in 2024. And Davis of course we want him in our country,” Turki Alalshikh had said. However, Gervonta Davis, who will face Frank Martin at the MGM Grand next month, ended up demanding two Ferraris to agree to Alalshikh’s proposal.

At this, His Excellency, who has his way with words too, in an excellent reply, announced that he would rather gladly send Davis two gloves if the latter were at all serious about facing Haney and proving a point. Now, in view of Alalshikh’s comment, Gervonta Davis elaborated on why he demanded two cars by Ferrari.

You know why I said that? Cause he was already talking like he was backing Devin. Like ‘Devin’s my guy’. Alright cool, y’all want me to fight over there, send me something first,” Gervonta Davis said on the Cigar Talk Podcast.

You know why fighters going over there? Because they can’t sell here. I can sell here. So, I ain’t got to go over there. What they making over there, I’m making here [already],” Davis added with a very calm demeanor and holding his ground. Anyway, while Gervonta Davis remains open to fighting Devin Haney, lately the two boxers ran into each other in Las Vegas.

Gervonta Davis and Devin Haney almost fight it out

Before Ryan Garcia sealed the deal, the entire boxing world expected Gervonta Davis aka Abdul Wahid and Devin Haney to share the ring. In fact, Bill Haney, father of ‘The Dream’ publicly claimed that they had offered ‘Tank’ Davis an impressive figure of $20 million which the latter arrogantly turned down. Additionally, before ‘The Dream’ stepped inside the ring against ‘KingRy’, the latter mysteriously got hold of Haney’s old sparring with Davis, leading team Haney to question Davis and Floyd Mayweather. For the same reason, when Davis and Haney recently met, they almost went at it.
