Gilberto Ramirez is likely to create history against Arsen Goulamirian
After dominating Joe Smith Jr. in his Cruiserweight debut on October 7, Gilberto Ramirez announced that he would not return to 175 lbs where he lost against Dmitry Bivol in 2022. Although he wanted to rematch the Russian boxer who “hurt” his ego“, Ramirez claimed he looked forward to becoming the first Mexican Cruiserweight champion in the sport. “I want to be the first Mexican cruiserweight champion. That’s my goal and that’s what I’m working for,” said Ramirez.

Looks like, the Mexican boxer will likely achieve this dream of his in March 2024. As per the updates, Gilberto Ramirez, who was supposed to face Jai Opetaia, will now face Arsen Goulamirian this year with the latter’s WBA Super World Cruiserweight title on the line. Anyway, although Ramirez is a competitive boxer, one must acknowledge that Arsen is undefeated in his weight class and has successfully defended his title twice against Constantin Bejenaru and Aleksei Egorov. Likewise, we can expect a good fight between Arsen and Gilberto.

Finally, he fought Kane Watts in 2019 to win the WBA Super World Cruiserweight title which he will defend against ‘Zurdo’.
