Ryan Garcia‘s popularity soared manifold after the epic defeat he inflicted on archrival Devin Haney last week. Already one of the most well-recognized faces of boxing, the young fighter from California has witnessed a tremendous surge in his following over the last few years. Even his lone loss to Gervonta Davis (now Abdul Wahid) last April barely caused any dent in his name or fame. The lead-up to the Haney fight saw him twist and turn social media with the kind of antics the sport had perhaps never seen before.

However, has it reached a level where it can easily match up to the adulation and statue of a known public figure? A short video of Ryan Garcia showcasing his skills in front of Donald Trump has been making the rounds. In it, he shouted out support for the forty-fifth president of the United States. However, his rumored girlfriend, Grace Boor, took the opportunity to check for an altogether different outcome. What would happen if ‘KingRy’ were to run for the 2024 presidential campaign? The result when it came, in a lot of ways, revealed that probably Garcia’s within-ring popularity still outweighed the one that he enjoys without.

On her Instagram story, Grace Boor tagged the post Ryan Garcia shared today. It contained nearly twenty-second-long footage of the 25-year-old boxer. Dressed in casuals, he entered the hall where Donald Trump, his son Baron Trump, and other dignitaries and guests stood. “Uhoh, uhoh, let’s see what you got fast hands,” someone shouted as Garcia first loosened himself up. However, in her Instagram story, Grace Boor added a twist. Probably she wanted to check how popular opinion would swing if Ryan Garcia were to stand for the presidential elections this year. So she released a voting option titled, “RYAN FOR PRESIDENT 2024: Yes or No.

A subsequent reading of the voting pattern showed that nearly 54% wouldn’t appreciate the boxer standing for the White House. But surprisingly, 46% seem okay with the alternative. Keep’em Awed!!

The young boxer’s behavior, especially his tendency to shock everyone, has been a talking point for some time now. At its peak, his posts and messages on X/Twitter became a concern for many. There were reportedly calls questioning the fight with Haney on account of his mental fitness. But then, surprising everyone, ‘KingRy’ made it to the fight. Then the next shocker came when, despite entering the fight as the underdog, he shook up the P4P-ranked boxer in the world in a 12-round game.

Garcia’s penchant for keeping everyone bewildered overlaps with his personal life as well. Just when news of Ryan Garcia dating Australian social media influencer Mikaela Testa caught everyone’s attention, another update that reported him proposing to adult movie star Savannah Bond surely must have puzzled a lot of fans and followers.
