“Gone but Never Forgotten”: Floyd Mayweather Relives Past Pain of Losing Mother of His Children Josie Harris on Mother’s Day

Floyd Mayweather paid homage to every single female mother in his life on the auspicious occasion of Mother’s Day. He shared a bunch of Instagram Stories where he shared beautiful pictures of all the females in his family who are mothers. Mayweather gave a tribute to his ex-girlfriend, Melissia Rene, the mother of his eldest daughter, Iyanna Mayweather. Then he also extended his wishes to Iyanna, as she’s the mother of his 2-year-old grandson. He also sent his most recent ex-girlfriend, Anna Monroe, happy wishes for being a mother. And then he remembered his late ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, who holds a special place in his heart, on such a special day.
Josie Harris was the mother of three children, Jirah, Zion, and Koraun, with Floyd Mayweather. She left the Earth on March 10, 2020. Mayweather has shared his grief multiple times on social media, as he lamented over her ex-girlfriend’s death. Even this Sunday, he couldn’t leave her out of the ‘Mother’s Day’ wishes for all the special females in his life.

Floyd Mayweather posted two Instagram Stories involving Harris, as he wanted to emphasize his memorial tribute. In the first Instagram Story, he posted a wholesome, smiling family picture of him and Harris standing together with all their 3 children. And above the picture, he wrote a caption that read, “Happy Heavenly Mother’s Day. Gone But Never Forgotten.”
In the second Instagram Story for Harris, he posted another great smiling picture of hers, but this time, she was in a stunning black dress, holding up little Jirah Mayweather in her arms. The picture showed the fun and happy motherhood of Josie Harris, and again, in the caption, Mayweather wrote, “Happy Heavenly Mother’s Day.”

Well, it was obvious that Mayweather was missing his ex-girlfriend more than usual this Sunday, but this isn’t the first time where he’s mourned her death publicly.
Mayweather misses Josie Harris a lot

Josie Harris died because of an accidental drug overdose. This incident left Mayweather and his family heartbroken, and they’re still coping with such a harsh reality. Every year, on her birthday, Mayweather shares a memorial post in her remembrance. The tragedy happened during the pandemic, and in April 2020, he also made a video reassuring his fans that he’ll try to help as many people as he can in such dire straits of the world.
And in that same video, he mourned the death of his ex-girlfriend in front of millions. He said, “As far as dealing with the loss of the mother of my children, she was a significant other, a great woman, a great person.”
