It’s pretty well-known how much Floyd Mayweather Jr. dotes on his family. Especially the forty-six-year-old undefeated former champion makes no secret of his undying love for his grandson Kentrell Gaulden Jr. Born on January 9, 2021, the two-year-old, the apple of his grandfather’s eyes, seems keen on the family sport. Mayweather Jr. often shares Junior’s moves with fans. Now a video of the grandfather training, as the curious and eager grandson watches with rapt attention, caught followers’ curiosity.
Michael Benson did the honors by sharing the half-a-minute-long footage of Mayweather Jr. training on pads with trainer Gerald Tucker. However, what couldn’t be missed was the sight of Kentrell Gaulden Jr. watching the duo with total concentration. Even as the pair breaks up, the toddler, wearing oversized gloves, runs around his grandfather across the ring to everyone’s amusement.

“Look at how attentive he is”: Fans hail as Kentrell Gaulden Jr. joins his grandfather in the ring
Going through the footage, one Twitter user observed, in a way, Floyd Mayweather Jr. would ensure a champion for the upcoming generation as well.
Bro is gonna have generational champions

Echoing the same sentiment, one user even called Kentrell Gaulden Jr., a future pound-for-pound world champion.
Future Pound 4 Pound King

Then a user named Grant Pritchard also shared his thoughts. Indeed, Kentrell Jr. might not have encountered a better teacher than his grandfather, Floyd Mayweather Jr. He has all the making of a future world champion, Pritchard contended.
Don’t come much better than this guy to
Learn from. No doubt future WC— Grant Pritchard (@GrantPritchar13) June 24, 2023
Calling Kentrell Jr. the future of boxing, one user mentioned that Mayweather Jr. would ensure his grandson achieves a big name in the sport.
Kids the future of the sport for sure and Floyd is gonna make sure of it

It’s elementary for a kid his age to get distracted easily. However, Pierre Reeves highlighted the focus with which Kentrell Jr. watched his grandfather train. Mayweather Jr. and his family are letting him pick the sport at his pace, which sounds much better in Reeves’ thoughts.
look at how attentive he is . People dont know how short a 2yr old attention span is . They letting him love the game on his own ❤️ it

Frank Rizzo deviated from the line of discussion. He contemplated the situation if Mayweather Jr. competed in the Heavyweight division, that too against Mike Tyson at his peak. Sounding happy at the thought of the youngest Heavyweight champion demolishing ‘Money’ Mayweather within two rounds, Rizzo believes that even though much heavier, the former stayed ahead in speed. Mayweather Jr. puts himself a challenging target to hit. Nevertheless, Tyson could have caught him with ease.
Dream match. Too bad Mayweather wasn't a heavyweight in Tyson's prime. Would have loved to see Tyson KO Mayweather in under 2 rounds. Tyson was arguably faster, even at 50-70 lbs heavier. Floyd's difficult to hit but Tyson would have hunted him down.
