The outcome of the match would have shocked many but also served as an inspiring reminder about how certain individuals defy the limitations of age. The video was shared by Melissa St. Vil, WIBA Lightweight title holder who also goes by the name of ‘Little Miss Tyson.’

The 2-minute 20-second clip featured an old man with grey hair battling a boxer much younger than him in age. The fight started off with both trying to assess each other. Within a few seconds, the older man took over, landing many more punches than the younger one could. By the end of the 1st minute, he had cornered his opponent, who had to be saved by the referee. Melissa posted the clip on her X (Twitter) account, captioning the clip, “Grandpa did not come to play.”

Soon, fans joined her in lauding the stereotype-breaker. “He ain’t new to this,” remarked one fan, noting the skill and experience of the fighter.

“Grandpa looks like a former professional boxer IMV,” said another fan who assumed the man had to have boxed in his younger days to have the stance and poise of a pro boxer.

“Never underestimate the old seem alot more,” iterated one fan who warned others against taking the elderly lightly.

“Old ass white dude gottem. Goes to show, a fights a fight and anyone can win at anytime,” remarked a user thrashing stereotypes and conveying the unpredictability of a fight.

“Props to the old-timer!” Another fan cheered the winner on.
