Canelo Alvarez seems to be in great demand in the boxing world as every other fighter has started considering a potential fight with him. Adding his name to the list is David Benavidez. Benavidez is slated to face Demetrius Andrade on November 25 in a PBC on Showtime pay-per-view event. The 27-0, 23 KOs champion is fresh off a unanimous decision triumph over Caleb Plant in March.
A victory over Andrade could set the stage for a highly anticipated clash with undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez. The WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman has designated Benavidez as the mandatory challenger for Alvarez at 168 pounds. While Benavidez tells us his views on the potential bout, he also mentions Terence Crawford and Errol Spence Jr. Let us find out what his opinions are.

Instead of weighing in on the anticipated Benavidez vs. Alvarez clash, Tyson offered a curveball, suggesting an unexpected contender for Benavidez. His choice, David Morrell, a formidable yet less renowned fighter, raised a few eyebrows.
Tyson’s endorsement of Morrell, emphasizing his knockout power, was a shift from the mainstream narrative. The interviewer, acknowledging Morrell’s skill despite his brief career, found common ground with Tyson. Intriguingly, Benavidez himself has expressed interest in facing Morrell, aligning with Tyson’s unexpected perspective on the potential match-up.
