Claressa Shields takes pride in her achievements
Many great boxing names like Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather, and Canelo Alvarez, who are known to be multiple-divisions boxing champions, couldn’t break one record. But, there’s a chance on July 29th to break the untouched record of this era. Well, there are two records that could be broken in the Terence Crawford vs. Errol Spence Jr. fight.
So the first record is that the sport of boxing will get its very first undisputed champion in the welterweight division during the 4-belt era. Before this fighters like Floyd Mayweather, Zab Judah, and Corey Spinks only had three belts to conquer. The other record will be – if Crawford manages to win, he’ll become the first male fighter to become the Undisputed Champion in two different divisions. As he’s already held 4 belts in the Super Lightweight division, before this.
So, in the recent article of Marca, the name of Claressa Shields was there as she has already made it possible before any other male boxer could do it. In the article, they mentioned, “In the female category, only Claressa Shields (2021) has done it before“.
This uplifted Shields so much that she instantly tweeted saying, “ONLY CLARESSA SHIELDS!!!!!” and added the article below.
