Many who considered Ryan Garcia a future boxing superstar were disappointed as they saw him cringing in pain, failing to get up as the referee gave the count during the Gervonta Davis fight. The young twenty-four-year-old boxer is trying to resurrect the sagging fortunes. Amidst various developments, posting even a benign message about enjoying his downtime on Instagram made him a target of a roller coaster of reactions.
So early today, he shared a message of him standing alongside Mexican rapper Peso Pluma. The post has already received nearly half a million likes. But a perusal of comments reflects the thoughts in the mind of many a follower. While some wanted to know his Spanish proficiency, a few wanted him to stay on track.

Why?? Fans ask Ryan Garcia
First, Alejandro Rocha seems eager to know whether Ryan Garcia ever considers hanging up the gloves for good, “Haven’t you thought about retiring from the box?” Then toeing a line that may set all ‘Tank’ Davis fans to the moon, Joaquín Rodríguez González contends that he deserved to lose the April bout to the Baltimore-born Southpaw. González said, “You rightly lost against Gervonta! G i l !!!“

Adopting a softer tone, Andrew Nunez tried reminding Ryan Garcia not to lose sight of the kind of boxer he always claimed to be. He should ignore the doubters and rise again, stronger than before. “What’s up, Ryan? Let’s not forget who we claim to be. Get back up n [fight] better than ever.” Nunez said. Then probably disappointed with the social media posts, Joe Kavy identifies it as one of the reasons for Garcia’s failures. The young boxer should remain focused on training rather than thinking about socializing. The user said, “Ryan, you don’t get to go out or party, only train. This is why you [lost].“

As usual, a few users couldn’t help but take a dig at the Californian. User Isaac wants to know whether Ryan Garcia knows what’s going on with Peso Pluma’s songs or their message: “Does Ryan even understand his music or know what he says? “Finally, laughing out loud, Andrew Ochoa Urena believes that ‘KingRy’ is starting to resemble his promoter Oscar De La Hoya the more he sees him. “This dude looking more and more like @oscardelahoya, lol.” Urena said.
It’s been three months, and Ryan Garcia has become everyone’s favorite punching bag. The much-anticipated bout with Gervonta Davis was eye-opening for him and the many fans. He parted ways with his trainer only to join a new stable. Then his terms with promoter Oscar De La Hoya took a turn for the worse. It includes a court case now. Hence most followers would expect him to be absorbed in training.
