Jarell Miller has broken his silence on his “Love-Hate” relationship with promoter, Eddie Hearn. Last month, at a press conference for the December 23rd ‘Day of Reckoning’ clash, the two got into a heated exchange of words. Recently, when asked about what went down between the two of them, Hearn revealed to Seconds Out that the fighter threatened to have someone “pull up” on him the next time he was in New York. Now, in a frank disclosure, the American Heavyweight has cleared the air on what he meant.

For the Day of Reckoning clash, Hearn’s marquee fighter, Anthony Joshua will return to the ring for the third time this year against Otto Wallin. On the same card, Miller too will face off against Daniel Dubois. At the mentioned press conference, both ‘AJ’ and Miller ended up taking swipes at each other, an altercation rooted in the fall of their clash back in 2019. While their animosity was reignited at the press conference, Hearn chimed in with his cents. However, now Miller clarified that it wasn’t anything serious that went down between him and the promoter.

In an elaborate tête-à-tête with Boxing Social, ‘Big Baby’ Miller discussed the significance of his upcoming clash against Dubois and questions about a fight with AJ. In this discourse, his feud with Hearn also found a place. However, clarifying that it wasn’t “serious,” the heavyweight joked that his “pull up” threats could even mean a stripper pulling up on Hearn.

Furthermore, saying that everything was fine between them, he revealed that Hearn and him have been on calls and are on a texting basis. Not discounting the heat between them, he noted, “Two guys that kind of beef, but we still like each other. You know what I mean? Like a love-hate kinda thing, for sure. And I said before, you know.” He further added, “Eddie can be an a**hole, he can be a hypocrite but you know somebody can’t be a complete asshole if they was paying pretty good. And pay on time.”

The fighter also envisions that at some point, he will meet Hearn, and let the water be under the bridge. He suggested that he could see them sitting across from each other and discussing business. While his clarification put up a rosy image of their relationship, Eddie Hearn had another perspective.

Eddie Hearn speaks on the Miller dispute

Eddie Hearn revealed that on press conference day, Miller confronted the reason why he did not back him the way he did Conor Benn recently. In response, Hearn noted, “Because I don’t believe you.” In 2019, Miller tested positive for multiple banned substances ahead of his AJ clash, leading to its collapse.

While the former grappled with the proceedings in the wake of the tests, AJ was pitted against Andy Ruiz Jr., who gave the fighter his career’s first loss via a 7th-round TKO. Benn, too tested positive for banned substances ahead of his Chris Eubank Jr. fight last year. While he navigated his appeals with concerned drug testing authorities, Hearn stood by him like a pillar, supporting him throughout.
