Following his defeat against Kell Brook in February last year, Amir Khan tested positive for a banned substance called Ostarine. Although it has been a year since the two shared the pro ring, in a recent interview with IFL TV, Brook expressed his disgust citing Khan’s intentions to hurt him badly “in a sport where you can legally get killed“.

After the slamming comments by Brook, Amir Khan recently replied to the former in a talkSPORT exclusive. According to the former welterweight champion and Olympic medalist, Brook should not really be that disappointed since he won the fight against Khan in the ring. In addition, Khan mentioned the figure he already spent in his case and simultaneously argued his innocence.

Addressing Kell Brook’s desire to fight Conor Benn, Amir Khan urges his rival to pardon him

As per Khan’s statement, he has spent over $124,478 in his case following UKAD’s discovery. According to his belief, with his recent remarks, Brook is just “beating a man when he is down”. Hence, Khan feels Brook shall pardon him since the former anyway did not benefit from Ostarine. In the same vein, ‘King Khan’ even alluded to Brook’s desire to square off against Conor Benn who tested positive for clomifene and was subsequently restrained by BBBofC.

I’m not surprised that he’s upset about what happened. Look, but he’s still happy to fight against Conor Benn… He won the fight so he shouldn’t really be that upset,” said Khan in the mentioned talkSPORT exclusive. Later, Michael Benson shared the statements via a tweet. Khan declared he was innocent and that he never cheated in boxing. In the interview, the resident of Bolton, Lancashire suggested the idea of even calling Brook and explaining his stance personally.
