On January 2, authorities arrested Miller on the charges of carjacking without a weapon or firearm and burglaries including battery and assault. The court set his bond at $30,000. Miller abruptly intervened, put the victim in a chokehold from behind in a car, and demanded the keys.

As per WSVN’s report, investigators revealed that Miller sought help from a woman to devise a scheme aimed at diverting the attention of the employee. Allegedly, the woman informed the employee that she had left her cell phone inside a pickup truck recently repossessed by the dealership. Consequently, the employee, in an effort to assist her in retrieving her phone, took the keys to the repossessed truck.
