Francis Ngannou continues to draw awe and bewilderment. The heavyweight fighter who knocked down Tyson Fury on the knees has captured the boxing world’s imagination, and Eddie Hearn is no different. The British promoter witnessed the MMA fighter up close during the press conference and made a quirky remark about him. Now, Lennox Lewis has jumped on the Ngannou hype train.

‘The Predator’ hovers over his opponents and holds a size advantage against them. It appears Anthony Joshua is no different. Eddie Hearn, in a conversation at the conference, admitted he couldn’t fathom the size of Ngannou. After knocking Hearn out of his senses, Lewis expects the Cameroonian-French fighter to put on a “spectacle.”

Eddie Hearn said, “Francis Ngannou is talking and I’m thinking, ‘look at the size of your head, your neck’. I actually turned to AJ and told him ‘you look like a middleweight compared to this guy.‘” This comment seized Lewis’ attention, who heaped praise on Ngannou. Lewis turned to his X handle and wrote, “Ngannou’s fight with @Tyson_Fury was a spectacle. This fight with AJ is also a spectacle. Hats off to Ngannou for making the most of his opportunities. He’s done nothing wrong. This is just the HW division in the year 2024.”

Notably, the fight with AJ would be Ngannou’s second fight in his recently exploded boxing career. The former UFC champion always harbored a dream to be a boxer, but fate worked in funny ways to ensure he reached the top of the MMA world first. After putting on a show for the fans in his debut fight against the ‘Gypsy King’, he is set to grab eyeballs against AJ on the stacked ‘Knockout Chaos’ card. The event has several enthralling fights in its undercard coupled with its marquee main event which could enter the hall of fame of boxing cards if it delivers to expectations.

The ‘Knockout Chaos’ undercard revealed

The card set for March 8 in Riyadh has already added prominent names to the undercard. Following the headliner of AJ vs. Ngannou, Zhilei Zhang and Joseph Parker add allure to the card as the co-main event. Parker and Zhang are both coming off spectacular victories against Deontay Wilder and Joe Joyce, respectively.
