Canelo Alvarez, who ended last year with an injury on his left hand and subsequent surgery, is back in the gym teasing his fans with the prospect of a return in 2023. Alvarez, who fought his last against Gennady Golovkin last year on September 17, reportedly, among others has John Ryder on his list of potential opponents against whom he could make his return to the ring. In a brief clip, mutually shared by Matchroom and DAZN Boxing, the ‘Mexican Phenom’ was seen working out with a punching bag, sharpening his head movement and showing off that left hand that endured surgery. While a number of fans applauded Alvarez’s training, others taunted him with the names of fellow athletes in and outside boxing.
