Ohio, Monday morning: Law enforcement authorities took undefeated Heavyweight contender Jared Anderson into custody. According to the Lucas County Records Center, two charges have been brought against him. First, he had been improperly handling firearms in a vehicle. Secondly, he had been driving a vehicle under the influence. So, per an article on WTOL, police pulled Anderson off the road. He was allegedly speeding at 55 miles per hour in an area with 40-mile-per-hour restrictions.
Reportedly, while checking, the police officers could smell alcohol and banned substances. Additionally, they came across a firearm in the glove box that was locked. ‘The Real Big Baby’ secured release from jail, roughly eight hours after the arrest, by posting a bond to the tune of $7,500. Per the available reports, the 16-0 Heavyweight has a court date set for Tuesday at 9 a.m.
It was obvious the fans weren’t too happy about the news. Given his age, talent, and prospects, many fans wondered whether such acts of public indiscretion were necessary at this stage of his career.

However, the following user wonders: Why is it that so many promising young athletes seem eager to sabotage their promising futures by abusing substances? Not only does it disappoint fans, but more crucially, it wastes everyone’s efforts over many years.
Why do these future champions always want to ruin their careers with alcohol or drugs. It's a shame for the fans but more importantly it puts to waste all those years of hard work.

Then, according to this user, the strain of becoming the next great U.S. heavyweight boxer probably started to get to Anderson. There were warning signals. However, the user hopes that it’s a one-and-done deal. As a young and good person, he definitely must have learned something from this episode. Hence, it’s time for him to move on.
There were already signs he wasn’t quite ready to handle the pressure that comes with being the next great US heavyweight. Hopefully this is one and done. He’s young. Good kid. Lesson learned. Get back to work – get right.

An eye-opener for Jared Anderson?
For sure, it’s a shocker to many who expect ‘The Real Big Baby’ to take over once legends such as Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz Jr. move out. He has a multi-year contract with Bob Arum‘s Top Rank, which is promoting him. Per an update on ESPN, the promoters have yet to release any statement on the issue. As one of the followers stated, let’s hope it’s just an aberration, and Anderson would have learned enough not to repeat such instances. After all, it not only tarnishes his and his team’s names and those associated with him but that of the sport as well.
