On the 27th of May, then-unbeaten boxer Ludumo Lamati squared off against Nick Ball with the WBC Silver Featherweight title on the line. In Nick Ball’s opinion, it was a “fast-paced fight” and Ball impressed the audience with his performance inside the ring. However, Lamati collapsed in his corner after the bout and was immediately stretched out of the ring.

The spectators, opponent Ball, and Queensberry Promotions showed concern for the South African boxer. Likewise, following his 18th victory, Ball addressed Lamati: “So the main thing is his health because as I say, this boxing is no joke. So I hope he’s alright.” As per updates, Lamati was rushed to the Belfast Hospital and underwent numerous tests and scans. After Lamati was admitted to the Hospital, Queensberry Promotions tweeted that their thoughts were with the 31-year-old.
