Hearn was in an interview with Ariel Helwani of ‘MMA Fighting‘. In the conversation, when asked about what he thought about the first three rounds of the fight, the Brit claimed that he thought ‘The Bray Bomber‘ was in full control. He also said, “Amanda was walking her down. But there’s a difference between walking someone down and winning rounds.”

However, he mentioned that he was unsure of the outcome during the fifth and sixth rounds. Hearn said, “I said to Katie, ‘what were you doing in the fifth?’ There is something in Katie Taylor that draws her that she just wants to be in battle.”

The 42-year-old also mentioned that he almost lost hope of winning at one point in time when Taylor was exchanging blows at the ropes. Hearn added, “But, then she got caught a couple of times. Then she spun off, then she got caught again. And she was in dire trouble in the fifth and the sixth. Honestly, I’m thinking I think it’s over.”

Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano saw ‘The Bray Bomber’ reeling for a bit

Katie Taylor faced Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The bout, which is now known as the ‘biggest women’s fight of all time’, kept boxing fans on the edge of their seats.

Taylor started slowly, and Serrano seemed to be more in control during the initial round. In rounds 5 and 6, ‘The Real Deal’ was in an offensive mode as she dominated, resulting in the Irishwoman taking a lot more damage than she was delivering.
