‘I Almost Died’: Mike Tyson Opens up on Skateboard Accident in Front of Tony Hawk

Mike Tyson, in the latest episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson almost jeopardized his life. With Tony Hawk by his side, Mike Tyson leaped onto a skateboard exhibiting command and style.  However, the former heavyweight champion of the world soon went off balance and fell off it.

After this incident, Tyson and Hawk spoke about Tyson learning the ropes of skateboarding. ‘Kid Dynamite’ wished to sit on it as some people he had seen did. Tyson began by saying, “I wish I could sit on it [skateboard]. You see some people sitting on their skateboards.”

Hearing Tyson’s eagerness about skateboarding, Hawk said he would be happy to teach the former how to ride it. He said, “I would like to see Mike Tyson sitting on a skateboard, going down the Boardwalk in Venice.”

“I would be happy to at least teach you how to ride on that board instead of standing on the carpet and trying to kill yourself,” Hawk added by saying. Tyson could have seriously hurt himself falling off the board inside the studio of HotBoxin’. Luckily, there was a chair to catch him. Anyway, here is what Tyson said next regarding his encounter with death on HotBoxin’.

Tyson knows how to crack jokes. As soon as Hawk joked about Tyson’s failed attempt, the latter spontaneously contributed to it by saying, “It was an almost good attempt of me killing myself, yeah. I almost died.”

Fortunately, Tyson did not hurt himself skateboarding. In this episode Tyson even joked about sciatica and him. Reacting to one of Hawk’s clips, Tyson said if he tried the stunts performed by him (Hawk), he would break his back and hence bid sciatica goodbye.
