ESPN has recently been under a lot of scrutiny from sports fans and experts alike, from all over the world. ESPN has been very popular amongst sports fans, which is the reason why, when the sports news network was at its peak, it had a reach of 100 million households all around the world. However, that is a decade-old story, it seems that the onset of Covid brought bad news for the network as well and there was a drastic drop in the number all the way down to 74 million homes.
This is mostly due to viewers picking other streaming options rather than the traditional networks. Moreover, it appears that they are losing their audience except from sports like the NBA and NFL. This led the network to fire its top 20 on-air hosts. Fans recently even shared their love for Max Kellerman as the news of him being laid off came out. Furthermore, even Andre Ward has now bid his farewell to the network. His co-worker Timothy Bradley has some words to say about the current situation.
