Adrien Broner, who once said that he needed Floyd Mayweather the most in boxing, in a recent interview with Round Da Way Podcast consciously denied the need for ‘TBE’. In addition to contemplating a potential $200 million exhibition fight with ‘Money’, Broner explained why he was not bothered about Mayweather not wanting to face him in the ring.

Despite a $200 million call-out, Broner does not need ‘Money’
Given their resumes, Broner calculated the amount he and Mayweather each would need, had they agreed upon an exhibition fight in boxing. According to Broner, Mayweather and ‘The Problem’ would require $100 million each to put on a show in the ring. However, Broner strongly stated that Mayweather would not want Broner with that “type of money”. Therefore, on being asked if Mayweather said anything to him, he said, “Nah, because I have my own sh*t. I started my own sh*t. I don’t need him.”

“When he first met me I was a millionaire. I was already me. When he came to see me I was already me,” Adrien Broner added. Looks like Broner is backtracking from what he earlier said regarding ‘TBE’.

When Adrien Broner missed Floyd Mayweather and said he needed ‘TBE’
Six months ago, commenting on one of Floyd Mayweather’s Instagram posts, Broner expressed that he needed Mayweather the most in boxing. Although he had not talked to ‘Money’ in a while, Broner, at the time, had claimed to have missed him. He’d said, “Real talk and I miss you, man. I know we ain’t spoke in a while. But honestly, I think I need you the most right now when it comes to this boxing sh*t.”

This is not the first time Broner had entertained the idea of having a $200 million exhibition with ‘TBE’. In an August 2022 interview with Cigar Talk, Broner talked about a potential 10-round $200 million fight. “We’re going 10 rounds and we’re both going to generate over $100 million for that. We’ll never have to box again,” he said, as reported by Marca.
