‘KingRy’ is just a week away from facing his most challenging opponent, Gervonta Davis inside the ring in T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas. Last time, in the LA Press Conference on March 10, 2023, things got heated up as both fighters touched each other’s chin to establish dominance over one another. Ryan Garcia appeared as a guest on the recent episode of Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson where he talked about the incident during the press conference, and stated how he believes that he had Davis in that intimidation contest. Garcia also told his predictions for the bout and also named the round in which he’ll grab the victory against ‘Tank’.

The chin-touching moment became the highlight of the press conference, as that definitely ignited something. Both fighters did not like the hands of the other man, which were close to their face. Even the ‘GWOAT’, Claressa Shields tweeted about the incident and opposed such behavior.

Garcia has been talking about how much he cares and how hard he’s working for the fight. Well, recently he finally spoke about how he’ll knock out Gervonta Davis and also predicted the round in which he’ll be doing it. At that moment, he channeled his ‘inner’ Conor McGregor during the podcast. It resembled the time when the ‘Notorious’ predicted his fight accurately against Jose Aldo.

Then Garcia also talked about the moment he knew he had Davis, and could see past his insecurity. He said, “You see he touched my chin, I touched his chin, what was his reaction? Smack my hand out the way, why? Because his emotionally- I got him already, he’s done. He doesn’t have this type of focus. He knows it.”

And then he gave out his prediction, saying, “Yeah I’m running right through this man. Two rounds like I said last time, two rounds, two rounds.” Garcia also spoke about his frustration, how his whole life he’s been trying to prove himself. And still, he will have to prove to the world that he’s different and he can do as he says. Mike Tyson interrupts him at this point and gives him a very important message.

Ryan Garcia had his questions and asked how much time will it take for people to actually believe in him. As many boxing fans are looking in the opposite direction, he showed a little irritation for trying to prove himself again and again.

Tyson, after listening to Garcia, said, “Every time you get in the ring, we gotta prove it, brother. You can’t stop proving it, till the day you die you gotta prove it brother.”
