Many fans got startled as Ruiz Jr.’s name came into the news as Fury’s next potential opponent. This is because Fury’s US promoter, Bob Arum, in a recent interview, spoke about aligning ‘The Gypsy King’ with either Andy Ruiz Jr. or Robert Helenius.
Primarily, Dillian Whyte was all set to get his hands on compatriot Fury for a blistering title fight. However, Whyte and Fury’s teams couldn’t iron out a deal for the two men. Consequently, Arum quickly came up with two names that might get to face the Briton next.
Ruiz Jr. is super-excited and keen to lock horns with Fury next. He fought only once this year, and that win came in against Chris Arreola after many struggles. Despite that, ‘Destroyer’ will look to take it onto his strides to move ahead and contend with Fury.
