The anticipated marquee fight is just a day away from happening. Canelo Alvarez vs. Jermell Charlo will answer a lot of unanswered questions among boxing fans. Many aficionados of boxing at one point called out Canelo Alvarez for losing a step after his bout against John Ryder. Additionally, Jermell Charlo, in spite of being the Undisputed Super Welterweight champion, has yet to prove whether he can handle the big fish in the game. So, a lot of eyes are locked in for his matchup.

A pair of them belongs to the Youngest Heavyweight champion in boxing history, Mike Tyson. The bout would be a great spectacle, as two undisputed kings will be fighting for all the Super Middleweight belts this Saturday. Between these two champions, one will emerge victorious and Tyson has made a prediction about who it will be.

In an interview with FightHype, Mike Tyson was asked about his thoughts on the fight between ‘Cinnamon’ and ‘Iron Man’. ‘Kid Dynamite’ stated that it would definitely be an interesting fight, as both fighters have an immense caliber that they can display on the canvas on September 30. Soon, the fighters will be ready to raise their gloves in front of a 20,000 crowd at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.

In addition, Tyson also gave out his predictions for the fight and a bit of his personal analysis. He said, “You know I want to go with Charlo but I think Canelo’s not the person he used to be. But I think he may have enough for Charlo and I want Charlo to do well.” Since Tyson believes Alvarez is not the same anymore, he warned him before about a peculiar ‘insecure’ Mexican monster.

However, this time Tyson had backed up both of them, but something seemed to have changed in a couple of months. Just two months ago, Tyson was quite certain about Canelo Alvarez beating Jermell Charlo.

Back in July, Mike Tyson was asked the same question by the ESNEWS reporter, and then, he gave a clear response. He supported Canelo Alvarez to be the winner of the bout. When he got to know that both fighters would be competing at 168, and Charlo would be moving up two weight classes, he believed Alvarez would be dominating.

He said, “I think Canelo should beat him, overpower him.” This was a direct answer than what he went with in the recent interview. So what changed? Well, maybe Tyson got influenced by Charlo’s humble response. After Tyson’s prediction went all over the internet, Charlo was asked about his thoughts on his statement. Charlo said, “Mike Tyson’s Mike Tyson man. He can say whatever he wants. He’s the GOAT, a legend. It’s cool.
