Simultaneously, Garcia spoke about the circumstances under which he could potentially fight the three boxers he has in mind. The three boxers Ryan Garcia wants to fight next are ‘Rolly’ Romero, Isaac Cruz, and Teofimo Lopez. While Garcia would have loved to lock horns with Romero, the WBA super lightweight title holder has been ordered to face a mandatory challenger in Ohara Davies. An official statement by WBA Championship Committee chairman Carlos Chavez has asked Romero to fight Davies by September 12, 2023. Hence, it is unlikely that Garcia will take on Romero for the time being. However, he intends to fight Cruz if the latter is “willing to go to 140 [lbs]” and Lopez “depending on [the] outcome“.
