There were only a few people in the world who dared to step into the ring with Mike Tyson during his boxing days. The former heavyweight champion was a force in the sport brutally defeating every opponent put in front of him, eventually garnering him the title of ‘The Baddest Man On The Planet’.

Moreover, Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone was well aware of Tyson’s exploits on and off the ring as he once detailed how Iron Mike terrified him during the production of his blockbuster film ‘Rocky’. In an interview with a media outlet, ContactMusic Stallone revealed Iron Mike had contacted him for a role in the movie.

However, the ‘Rocky’ star was a little reluctant about getting in the ring with Tyson. He stated it was a bad idea to face Tyson, as he could have killed him in the ring. “Mike wanted to fight me in this film, but I thought it was a bad idea. I know I’m not that young, but I’m still too young to die. I said, ‘Thanks, but I don’t think that would be a very good idea. Thank you very much,” said Stallone.

Despite this, Tyson would go on to contact Stallone for a role in the film. This would lead to Stallone giving him a seat in the audience instead of fighting him in the ring. “But he kept calling the office saying he wanted to be in the film fighting me. Eventually, I relented and said he could be in the audience. Then I never heard from him.” he said.

However, to Stallone’s surprise, Tyson would go on to sit ringside along with his crew. A terrified Stallone would then request Tyson’s crew to keep him away from the ring as he feared for his life. “I turned round and said to the crew, ‘Can you make sure you keep that son of a b***h out of the ring? If he gets in, he’ll kill me.’ The man’s a killer.” Stallone added.
