“I’ll retire him then and there” – Tommy Fury gets ultimatum from Father John Fury

You better believe a man who rendered another half-blind over a beer bottle. John Fury cornered Oathie Sykes at a car auction to settle a more than decade-old dispute! The brawl left the latter almost half-blind. Now retired and looking after his two active sons’ boxing careers, John has cautioned Tommy, the younger of the two.

In a tweet that has garnered more than eighty responses so far, John Fury has suggested that if Jake Paul knocks out Tommy, he will see that the latter hangs his gloves until hell freezes over.

Sentenced to eleven years’ imprisonment, John pleaded guilty but requested leniency. Sykes pointed out that Fury deliberately wanted to gouge his eyes out.

Countering the allegation, Fury senior said that if he wanted, then he could do that easily. “I’m a not a feather-duster man.”, he said.

Tommy Fury and Jake Paul, I, II, and III?

Meanwhile, after defeating Daniel Bocianski, Tommy reached Dubai to fight former US Marine Paul Bamba on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather versus Deji Olatunji. However, the fight collapsed as Fury was heavier than the mandated weight scale.

Dubai-based Cameroonian boxer Rolly Lambert arrived to substitute for a non-scoring exhibition. By and large, a colorless fight, it soon regained life with the entry of Jake Paul. As he started picking on Tommy, John soon joined the verbal spat. Thankfully the security posse had the parties in check, preventing them from coming to blows.

Post-November’s acrimonious departure, per recent developments, Jake seems interested in renegotiating a deal for a fight in 2023.

In light of Papa Fury’s warning, Tommy has a big responsibility on his shoulders and proves himself a worthy heir to the legendary Fury legacy.
