Frank Warren, the promoter for Tyson Fury, has officially confirmed that the highly anticipated clash between the WBC titlist and Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed world heavyweight championship will take place in Saudi Arabia early next year. Initially scheduled for December 23, the fight faced a postponement due to Fury’s unexpectedly challenging bout against Francis Ngannou.
The rescheduling sparked concerns that the IBF might object and insist on Usyk facing other mandatory contenders instead of Fury. However, there have been no developments as such, and the fight is still on its course of happening. The boxing world will see an undisputed heavyweight clash for the first time after 1999. However, a famous American sports commentator blasted Fury and chose Usyk for the victory in the upcoming fight.

Jim Lampley believes Tyson Fury is surrounded by distractions
In a recent long conversation with Fight Hub TV, Jim Lampley shed some light on the reality TV show surrounding the life of Tyson Fury and Lampley was not a big of ‘At Home With The Furys‘. He saw it as a distraction for Fury from the sport of boxing. So, as a result, his inclination was also wavered towards Usyk, after he saw ‘The Gypsy King’ indulging in a Netflix show.
When asked if the infinite number of things he believes Fury is doing at the moment has affected his chances against Usyk, he replied, “Yes it does, 100%. Yes, absolutely, because no interruption in your focus, concentration, and devotion to your boxing career is a one-off.” It’s ironic because, in the past, he was one of the champions of Fury. Now he stated, “I’m not sure he can get back on the horse and ride it the same way he rode it prior to all of the steps that took him toward the Ngannou mistake.”
The fight with Francis Ngannou was a shock to a lot of boxing fans since nobody could predict how close Francis Ngannou got to winning the bout. He even delivered a knockdown punch to Fury in the third round. However, the CEO of Top Rank believes Fury would be better prepared for Usyk than he was for Ngannou.

Bob Arum talks in favor of Tyson Fury
The anticipated showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, initially slated for December 23, faced a delay to next year due to the significant damage Fury sustained in his recent bout against ‘Predator’ Ngannou. Observers speculate that Fury may have been underprepared and underestimated Ngannou, as he weighed in at a career-high for the fight.

He said, “I think Tyson will be a lot better prepared against Usyk than he was against Ngannou. I have great confidence in Tyson Fury. He’s a great competitor and he’ll be at his best against Usyk.”
