“I’m the Last Person to Blame”- Tyson Fury Reacts to the Deontay Wilder Fight Postponement

Tyson Fury doesn’t seem to be experiencing a good time as he is reportedly recovering from the deadly coronavirus, which he contracted a few weeks back. Because of this, he will no longer appear on July 24 to defend his world title against Deontay Wilder. Hence, the promoters have moved the trilogy fight to October 9.
Fans have solely blamed the British camp for this unforeseen delay. While Wilder seems ready to appear in action, Fury’s medical reports seem to be the only reason for the delay. However ‘The Gypsy King’ reacted to the scenario and absolved himself of any blame.

In a chat with MailSport, Tyson Fury said “I’m the last person to blame. I don’t have a large entourage, unlike most world champions with all their a**-licking hangers on. Since coming back into full time camp I hadn’t been anywhere other than my new house here and the Top Rank gym. Nor had my team.”
“The only people whose movements I couldn’t completely control were my sparring partners, who change. They came in and out of the bubble and everyone knows this town is full of Covid. I suspect we caught it from one of them.”

Despite the delay, the fight is still relevant to the charts. The sudden postponement of the date has also added more preparation time to both men’s camps. However, they will have to use it differently.
Will Tyson Fury be able to beat Deontay Wilder?
Coming off from a deadly virus, Fury’s medical setback can be a matter of concern for the English camp. However, ‘The Gypsy King’ doesn’t seem to be affected by the setback. Still fresh from his WBC title win over Wilder, he has constantly claimed that he will vanquish the American KO-artist once again. But a silent Deontay Wilder may have other plans on his mind.
