Much recently, Golden Boy Promotions president Eric Gomez recently shared how they’ve been considering Adrien Broner for Ryan Garcia‘s next fight. They’d even devised a way to make the fight happen at 140, however, there was no response from Broner’s team. Gomez revealed they had spoken to Don King directly, which was quite close to being done, but he stated, “For whatever reason Broner didn’t want it at this time.”
Broner has spoken up regarding these allegations. In the past, there have been some conversations up in the air about Garcia vs. Broner. Even then, Broner remained tight-lipped. Recently, he announced that he was ready to set it up with ‘KingRy’ once and for all.

Adrien Broner is coming off a victory against Bill Hutchinson, and after the fight, he spoke about how he wants a mega fight next. Since his fight with Manny Pacquiao in 2019, he’s only had two fights yet. So, it’s about time, the fans get to see Broner on a bigger stage, as he’s moving up the road to become the world champion for the fifth time in his career. So, it was surprising when he didn’t respond to the fight with Garcia. However, Broner stated that he was oblivious to any offer sent to him.
On his Instagram Story, Adrien Broner wrote, “@goldenboy I never knew about the offer with the fight with @kingryan I’m just now finding out about that as we speak but I’m here to let you know I don’t need a tune up for sh*t after Ryan take care of business in December we can make it happen asap!” He also mentioned, “I’m the same person who fought @mannypacquiao why the f*ck will I be afraid of saving private RYAN send the CONTRACT!!!!!!”

This fight has also been offered to Broner before by ‘The Golden Boy’ Oscar De La Hoya himself.
Oscar De La Hoya and Don King are interested in making this fight
In the past, Oscar De La Hoya posted on the X app that he’d be interested in giving Adrien Broner a mega fight with Ryan Garcia at 140. He even asked his promoter Don King to give him a call, if they’re interested in the offer. At that time, Adrien Broner didn’t have anything to say, however, Don King showed interest and was ready to give an “opportunity” to De La Hoya and Garcia.
Good luck @AdrienBroner have DonKing call me if you want a mega fight at 140. I’ll be busy with @jaimemunguia15 and @VergilOrtiz but I’ll make sure to answer your call. Stay blessed

King said, “I’m very interested in what Oscar said, and I think that he’s reaching out, trying to do something for his fighter. Even though his fighter lost to ‘Tank,’ he still is a wonderful fighter, got a great following. It would be a tremendous match, you know what I mean, so I’m gonna talk to Oscar.” Furthermore, he continued, “If we can work things out, most certainly — working together, which, I’m not one to push anybody off and say, ‘You coulda, woulda, shoulda, but I didn’t give you the opportunity.’”
