While that might seem quite overdone for him, he did so in a manner unlike any other fighter. His precision and swift cuts in the practice session further transported his fans into the bygone era of his prime.

‘Pretty Boy’ Mayweather entered the professional ring more than 25 years ago from today. However, despite drawing curtains on his stellar run in the sport, he soon emerged as a striking force. With his promotions company and gym, he led the way in training up-and-coming fighters. Today, as he does that, he can be occasionally seen taking some jabs at the pad. And when that happens, it sure raises some eyebrows.

Floyd Mayweather’s ‘no look’ practice session turns heads

In a resurfaced video, ‘Money’ can be seen taking some clean and prompt jabs at the pad. However, his impeccable manner of doing so was not something that caught his attention. But it was him doing so, without looking at the pad that caught fans’ attention as well as their fancy. One fan compared the former world champion to fighters of the current generation and claimed that he was in better shape than most of them.

Another fan recognized Mayweather for having learned everything about boxing.

A fan went on to claim Money as the “best to ever do the sport.”

However, with fans come the critics. A user claimed that the practice session was entirely in the control of the pad-man.

Doubling down with the previous user, another one called the practice session a “dance routine.”

However, with these videos of him sharpening his boxing skills emerging, a question has further popped up. When will Money be entering the ring again?

A Super Bowl Fight for Floyd Mayweather

Recently, Money took to his Instagram to upload the poster of his next exhibition fight. The fighter confirmed that he will be going up against John Gotti III, grandson of of mob boss John Gotti. The exhibition fight is a rematch. Earlier this year, Gotti III and Money entered the ring for a similar fight. However, it had to be stopped midway as a brawl ensued and the corners of both sides got involved. Now, bringing the fight back to life, Mayweather confirmed that it will take its course during the Super Bowl. Billed, “Unfinished Business,” the fight’s further details like venue and exact date have not been communicated yet.

The 46-year-old Mayweather has never been deterred from a fight. His training sessions and proposition of the upcoming fight against Gotti III demonstrate just that. Way past his prime, Floyd Mayweather continues to be the phenomenon that once ruled the boxing world.
