Law enforcement authorities took Andrew and his brother Tristan into custody from their house in Bucharest as part of an investigation into charges of human trafficking and sexual abuse. A police spokesperson confirmed the detention of the controversial British-American internet provocateur and his sibling to the BBC.

Andrew Tate’s incarceration in a Romanian prison

The Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) said that prosecutors had requested to keep the internet sensation in a ‘detention center’ for another 30 days. And added further that a judge’s decision on the application should be available by Friday. Tate’s representative couldn’t share further information. He said“However, Andrew and Tristan Tate have the utmost respect for the Romanian authorities and will always assist and help in any way they can.”

Citing their policies that ‘misogyny is a terrible ideology that is not permitted,’ other portals such as TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram followed suit in banning The Top G.

Videos that frequently appear show him traveling in a private aircraft, flashing luxury sports cars, and on lavish vacations. No wonder Andrew Tate gained widespread popularity, especially among young men.
