Only a few weeks separate Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz from the title clash against Rolando Romero. He is leaving no stone unturned to fulfill his dream of becoming a world titleholder. On March 30, at the T-Mobile Arena, the 25-year-old Mexican boxer will stake a claim to Romero’s WBA light welterweight title. Expected to be a tightly contested duel, many rate Cruz a notch above the reigning champion.

The ‘Pitbull’ is drawing inspiration from every corner to sustain him through the tough training camp and eventual win. Allowing the followers a glimpse, he shared a training clip early this morning. In the background, an iconic Hollywood movie dialogue ran.

With a trainer watching over, the clip begins with Isaac ‘Pitbull’ Cruz pulling off a tough bridge that will strengthen not only his neck muscles but his core as well. While doing so, his bodyweight rests on the chin and feet. He wrote, “As a child, I dreamed, but as I grew, I realized that action, not just dreams, brings them to life. It’s the power of realization that turns dreams into reality.

Silvester Stallone‘s famous dialogue from the 2006 blockbuster ‘Rocky Balboa’ rolled in the backdrop. “Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place, and I don’t care how tough you are; it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it,” says Stallone’s character ‘Rocky Balboa’ while speaking with his son, ‘Robert Balboa Jr. (played by actor Milo Ventimiglia).

Basically, the speech is about accepting the fact that life is full of setbacks and challenges. So either one can get cowed down, refusing to get up, or take the problems head-on and strive ahead: “But it ain’t about how hard you hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward? That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth, then go out and get what you’re worth.” There’s no point in pointing fingers at someone or something else if one fails.

Since the time the post came, so many fans and followers have joined in cheering up the Mexican boxer.

No Retreat for the ‘Pitbull’

Among oddsmakers, Isaac Cruz remains reportedly a 2-1 favorite to win. After all, he stands proud as the second-only boxer who took Gervonta Davis (now Abdul Wahid) the whole distance during their 2021 fight. Though young, a second career loss could afflict his reputation. Hence, a win remains critical. As the new champion, he stands a chance at exciting lineups against Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia, and Subriel Matias.
