With such a crucial undertaking, also comes a massive paycheck to recognize his boxing prowess. However, this will not be his introduction to the lucrative narrative of the sport. His 42-0 record has also furnished him with befitting paydays.

Tonight at the Footprint Center of Phoenix, the 27-year-old unbeaten boxer will take on his English counterpart, John Ryder. The fight comes at a crucial point in Munguia’s career. His vision set for opponents like undisputed super middleweight champion, Canelo Alvarez, the Ryder fight primes his trajectory. While he undertakes such a crusade to build the glories of his career on a global scale, here is a look at how much he has earned so far.

Per BuzzLearn, the net worth of the Tijuana-based orthodox fighter for January 2024 was estimated at a striking $ 5 million. This is said to have come mainly from his boxing earnings and the endorsements he has undertaken. His biggest purse so far is reported to have come from his Jimmy Kelly fight in 2022, which he won via a 5th-round knockout. For that California fight, he earned around $2 million. Before that, he also earned around $1,150,000 for his fight against Gabe Rosado. The November 2021 fight that made headlines saw home with a spectacular unanimous decision victory.

Per boxing insider, Dan Rafael, another big cheque came from his Patrick Allotey bout. In 2019, at the Dignity Health Sports Park, Carson, California, the Mexican fighter defeated Allotey through a fourth-round knockout. At the end of fight night, he was reported to have gone home a million dollars richer.

His last appearance in the ring against Sergiy Derevyanchenko last year marked his career’s fourth-highest earning. By defeating his Ukrainian opponent via unanimous decision, he bagged the vacant WBC Silver Super Middleweight belt. For that fight, he earned $750,000.

In 2022, in his home city of Guadalajara, Munguia went against 21-5 fighter, Gonzalo Gaston Coria, a fight which the former won via an impressive third-round knockout. For that fight, he is said to have earned another $500,000.

Tonight as he takes on his biggest challenge against John Ryder, he is also set to take home another big cheque. As reported by Sportslens.com, the fighter will go home with a six-figure digit as his purse, potentially touching the $ 1 million mark. From hereon, his fate against Ryder will determine if Munguia’s career will take a turn toward the best or if it will plummet.
