On the 27th of January, with the WBC Silver Super-Middleweight title on the line, Jaime Munguia will face John Ryder. While Jaime Munguia will return after his last fight against Sergiy Derevyanchenko, Ryder will make a comeback since his bout against Canelo Alvarez in May last year. Since the fight will determine the future of the Super-Middleweight division of professional boxing, there is a lot of hype riding on the two.

On the other hand, John Ryder made his professional debut in 2010. He has had 38 fights and has a record of 32-6-0. 18 of Ryder’s victories have come by the way of knockouts. Among others, Ryder has squared off against the likes of Daniel Jacobs, Zach Parker, Callum Smith, and Rocky Fielding. Here, it must be separately mentioned that in his last fight, he went the distance of 12 rounds with Canelo Alvarez.

Munguia vs. Ryder: Physical attributes

Jaime Munguia is currently 27 years old and has remained a champion in three weight divisions. In his last fight, Munguia weighed in at 167½ lbs. And he stands 6′ 0″ tall in the ring. On the other hand, John Ryder is 35 years old and has been an Interim champion in two weight divisions. In his last fight against Canelo Alvarez, Ryder weighed in at 168 lbs.
