It’s been just over a day since Jake Paul and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. officially kicked off their fight promotion with a press conference in Anaheim. The two are set to face off in a ten-round cruiserweight bout at the city’s Honda Center. And yet, Paul is already reminding the boxing world why his star power can no longer be brushed aside. If anything, his November showdown with Mike Tyson at AT&T Stadium offered a glimpse of what he brings to the table when the stakes are massive.

That event saw over 72,000 spectators in attendance and generated a record-breaking $18 million gate. With over 60 million viewers watching it on Netflix, it became one of boxing’s biggest commercial successes in recent memory. It’s still too early to predict how the Chavez fight will play out. After all, Chavez Jr. isn’t Mike Tyson. But a recent development might hint at the buzz this event is beginning to generate.

Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.: A ringside experience like no other

A premium ticket package for the pay-per-view event, dubbed the ‘Owner’s Experience,’ was released for public purchase with a jaw-dropping price tag of $1 million. Reasonably, one might wonder, who in their right mind would pay that much to watch a boxing match? Surprisingly, someone did. On Wednesday, May 14, it was confirmed by Dexerto that the package had been purchased by a Chicago-based personal injury law firm. So what exactly does $1 million get you? For one, the ‘Owner’s Experience‘ is more than a ticket. It’s a full-blown luxury immersion.

Moreover, providing it major visibility, the law firm’s branding will be fully integrated into the DAZN broadcast. With full event IP rights also included, the deal could offer strong marketing leverage. Following the sale, Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) reportedly announced three more VIP packages priced at $6,500, $4,250, and $2,500. Each offering a mix of premium seating and VIP access.

Following in the footsteps of a blockbuster event

This isn’t MVP’s first foray into high-end boxing experiences. Fans might recall the $2 million MVP ‘Owner’s Package offered during last year’s Tyson-Paul fight. For a price tag of $2 million, the ‘MVP Owner’s Experience‘ offered 10 seats, 2 seats in a private suite near the ring, and 8 seats in the first two rows of the AT&T Stadium.

The perks were almost identical to the ones offered for the Cesar Chavez match. Stylish leather seats, pre-fight backstage access to Jake Paul’s and Mike Tyson’s dressing rooms, on-stage access during the final weigh-in, autographed gloves from both fighters, personal concierge service, and private security.
