The dust of theatrics at the KSI-Dillon Danis weigh-in has just settled. But the pot-shots continue without any let-up. Jake Paul joined with a cryptic tweet. No point in guessing the target of his repulsion.

Embracing Anthony Taylor for rushing over and smacking the wits out of Dillon, Jake didn’t hide the burr under his saddle for all the fuss and pomposity Conor’s sparring partner displayed during the weigh-in.

The X Series is promoting celebrity crossover boxing. In the 003, former NFL defensive end Greg Hardy won a unanimous victory over Hasim Rahman Jr. 004 will take place at OVO Arena in Wembley, London, with KSI versus Dillon Danis being the centerpiece.

KSI’s boxing performance has taken up the cudgels for celebrity boxing compared to his younger brother. What’s more, on 27th August this year, he defeated two opponents on the same day.

Ever since, guesstimates on the next fight have been grounding the sports pages and sites. On the other hand, Dillon last fought inside a ring on June 15, 2019, when he won the fight against Max Humphrey through submission.

It is interesting to see how celebrity boxing is authentic to itself. Like a cinematic plot, former foes are turning into friends, the fine line between protagonists and sidekicks becoming blurred.

YouTubers’ War and Alliance: Jake and Logan Paul; KSI and Deji Olatunji

Jake Paul and his elder brother Logan fought KSI and younger sibling Deji on August 25, 2018. It was an amateur clash, where Jake defeated Deji, and Logan’s ended in a draw.

In the subsequent encounter, albeit with professional rules, KSI scored a win over Logan. The fights brought them closer to forging a partnership, resulting in Prime Hydration, a coconut water-based nutritional drink.

The number twos have caught on with the new alliance, as the Texas rumble displays.

KSI’s manager Mams Taylor has confirmed Jake Paul is taking on his bête noire Tommy Fury in 2023. That should put to rest a long-running beef every celebrity box lover wants to get over with.

That he wants to fight Conor McGregor has never been under wraps. So while Jake Paul supported his sparring partner Anthony Pretty Boy Taylor without vacillating, he probably ensured hauling Dillon, McGregor’s sparring partner, over the coals for his high-stakes drama. A subtle message, do you think?
