Jake Paul has a long hit list. Probably it doesn’t matter if opponents come from a different weight class, retired or active. Paul has already called out and is still eyeing a matchup against former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. A fight with Canelo also remains on the cards. For good measure, he’s already set for a clash, a ten-round exhibition against a 135-pound champion. So what difference does it make if a super middleweight joins the list? What stops him from envisioning a matchup against the man who defeated Canelo?

The Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis saga now finds Terence Crawford in the mix. The development unfolds as the November 14 bout at Miami’s Kaseya Center faces increased scrutiny. After the Georgia State Athletic Commission refused to sanction it, the MVP-PBC fight card moved to Florida. While unconfirmed, some reports even suggest Tank having reservations about the entire venture. That could change, however, as talks of a knockout bonus have emerged.

Terence Crawford is the next stop for Jake Paul

The YouTuber-turned-boxer revealed some interesting insights in a recent interview. While talking about Paul vs. Tank, Terence Crawford recently described the matchup as ‘crazy.’ So when asked for his thoughts on Crawford’s comments, Paul echoed similar sentiments.

This fight is crazy,” he said. He explained the reasons: “It’s two of America’s biggest names in boxing, and it’s a matchup that is 50/50 because of his skill and his experience. But my size is the equalizer, and that’s what makes this an amazing matchup—we don’t know what’s gonna happen.

The response only piqued the interviewer’s interest. So they asked the million-dollar question: “Would you ever fight Terence?” And Jake Paul replied, “I would for sure fight Terence a hundred percent. Let’s run it.” According to Paul, despite last month’s setback, the Canelo fight still remains on the cards.

Jake Paul’s plans appear just as the fate of the November 14 headliner seemed uncertain.

Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis: betting through the doubts

A recent update from FTTV Boxing reads: “Big shift from Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis ahead of his matchup with Jake Paul. 🗣️ ‘I’d laugh at them… If I do that fight right now, they’re going to look at me as a joke.’ Despite the bout being announced for November 14 on Netflix, Davis says he still has work to do and isn’t ready to step out vs. Paul just yet.

Notably, other outlets are yet to confirm the same. More so, it appears baffling. Because, on the DOUBLE COVERAGE PODCAST, Jake Paul shared, “If someone knocks the other one out, they’re gonna get a big, big bonus.

To set the record straight, the fight between Paul and the lightweight champion is an exhibition. Its outcome will not affect their current professional records. However, with 12-ounce gloves involved, the 195-pound catchweight bout does not prevent either fighter from knocking out the other.

The ‘bonus’ piece is something new for boxing, similar to what currently takes place in sister combat sports like MMA. However, the precise details about the amount still remain unconfirmed for now. With reports suggesting a $40 million purse for Tank Davis, the world champion could be in for a major payday from a single event.

Fans now have all the more reason not to miss one of the year’s most talked-about fights. Fireworks seem to be on the horizon.

Even if imaginary, how do you foresee a fight between Jake Paul and Terence Crawford playing out?
