From Vine to YouTube, Jake Paul had a wild career as he found his way to the world of boxing following the footsteps of his brother, Logan Paul. However, he quickly developed a love for the sport and quickly surpassed his brother as he engaged in consistent battles. However, he still receives a lot of criticism for his choice of opponents. It is understandable considering the majority of his opponents have been retired MMA fighters like Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, Ben Askren, etc.

Moreover, even his most recent opponent, Nate Diaz falls in the same category. However, it’s not that Paul is afraid to push the envelope. Earlier this year he even took on British professional boxer Tommy Fury. Interestingly, he was poised to face KSI next. However, the fight didn’t materialize and KSI ended up fighting Fury instead. Since both rivals lost to Fury, a lot of fans believe that Paul and KSI are going to finally fight in order to prove which one of them is better. However, Paul’s recent statement pours cold water on all such theories.

Jake Paul has expressed interest in a potential rematch with Tommy Fury, emphasizing his ‘respect’ for his rival. However, he clarified that pursuing a fight with KSI is not on his agenda. Currently gearing up for a bout against pro boxer Andre August on December 15, Paul remains open to facing Fury again after their previous clash in February, which ended with Fury securing a split decision victory.

Acknowledging the shock element of their first fight, where Paul sent Fury to the canvas, he believes ‘unsettled tension’ exists between them. Despite the initially heated rivalry marked by insults, their evolving relationship stems from the technical nature of their bout.

Paul shared, “He won but I knocked him down so it kind of was this, “I see you, you see me” type of thing. There’s definitely still unsettled tension there, figuring out who the better man is.”

While Fury recently claimed a controversial unanimous decision victory over KSI, Paul criticized KSI’s lackluster performance. Moreover, he stated that pursuing a fight with him doesn’t fall under his current priorities. Paul remains focused on his path to becoming a world champion, expressing readiness for future challenges. However, his brother issued some cautionary advice over the choice of his next opponent.
