Anthony Taylor, who’s embraced more losses than wins and that too in only five pro fights in boxing, has just suggested a bout with ‘TBE’. Taylor, who made his pro debut in 2017 the same year Mayweather retired from pro boxing, declared that the latter expressed his willingness to fight him. In an exclusive interview with IFL TV, the light-heavyweight contender spoke about a potential Floyd Mayweather fight in April.

Taylor has frequently sparred with ‘The Problem Child’. In what he considered a conflict between “old money” and “new money”, Taylor disclosed a potential fight on the 1st of April. “He’s old money, I’m new money. We’re looking for this fight to actually happen I believe [on] April 1st. In California or at the Coca-Cola Arena. April 1st, and like I said it’s exclusive. Floyd Mayweather said he wants to fight me,” said Anthony Taylor to IFL TV.

‘Pretty Boy’ Anthony Taylor uses the same alias as Mayweather earlier did. And now, with a claim to novelty, he urges to prove how he is good enough to replace “old money”. After his debut fight in 2017, Taylor faced Tommy Fury. The bout was scheduled for only 4 rounds and Tommy Fury won via UD.

While Mayweather now plans to make his return to the UK in February 2023, Taylor reveals an ongoing negotiation with ‘TBE’. In the recent past, even Jake Paul himself expressed his utmost desire to face ‘Money’.

In an interview with the MMA Hour, Jake Paul talked about the idea of facing ‘TBE’. According to him, it would be an interesting fight if he squared off against ‘Money’. In what he considered “a massive draw”, Paul further expressed that he could beat ‘TBE’. “If it was an actual pro match, I think people would be super, super interested. I could get to 175lbs and Floyd could weigh 165lbs and a commission would approve that. I just know that I would win.”

“I would love to take his 0. And it would be a massive fight as far as pay-per-views are concerned,” Paul concluded by saying.
