Janibek Alimkhanuly’s intention is clear as day! He wants to grab all the belts in the middleweight category. Back in October 2023, the undefeated middleweight champion from Kazakhstan proved his might. With his previous opponent, he took his time, patiently dissecting Vincenzo Gualtieri‘s strategy over the first few rounds. But once Janibek found his rhythm, it was a display of controlled power.
Gualtieri, the former IBF champ, tried to frustrate Janibek with movement and bursts of offense. But the southpaw’s relentless pressure and sharp counterpunches began to wear him down. A brutal left uppercut in the fifth was the turning point, leaving Gualtieri visibly hurt. This resulted in the sixth-round TKO. With two titles already in his possession, Alimkhanuly wishes to become undisputed soon.

As of now, Janibek Alimkhanuly has the WBO title that he had acquired back in 2022, and the IBF title that he won in his last fight. Now he wishes to challenge the other middleweight champions, Erislandy Lara and Jermall Charlo. Even in his post-fight interview, he mentioned that he wants the other two titles as well and to become the undisputed champion.
Lara has the WBA title. Question? Why isn't he interested in two more titles? I can fight him anywhere. Why aren't middleweights chasing the title like me? What's the point of holding one title? I don't understand? I need two more titles!

Hamzah Sheeraz served notice on Saturday night that he’s here to stay. In a fast-paced fight card filled with knockouts, Sheeraz stole the show with a ruthless first-round demolition of Liam Williams. Just 24 seconds were needed for Sheeraz to announce his arrival as a serious contender. The victory wasn’t just impressive, it was terrifying.
With Ramadan approaching, fight fans have a short window to speculate on Sheeraz’s next move. Potential opponents are likely feeling a cold sweat. Some “good options” might suddenly seem a lot less appealing now that Sheeraz has come to steal the show. Besides this, the official X account of Queensbury Promotions already has an opponent in their mind. They wrote, “Janibek Alimkhanuly vs Hamzah Sheeraz. We are ready to make it happen.”
