Errol Spence Jr. and Keith Thurman are finally set to square off in a much-awaited boxing showdown this April. Spence, who holds the unified welterweight world championship title, has been eagerly anticipating this fight with Thurman for years. Despite his relentless pursuit, Thurman had been dodging Spence. But now, the two will finally get the opportunity to go toe-to-toe and settle the score in the ring.

Jaron Ennis, a rising star in the welterweight division, will be watching the fight closely. Although Ennnis has previously shared his desire to have a face-off with Spense, for now, it seems that he will be sitting back and enjoying the show. Although people are calling it a fifty-fifty fight, according to Ennis, Spence will be able to snatch victory from Thurman’s hands.

Previously, Spence had declared that he would not be fighting Thurman after being rejected time and again by Keith. Thurman just seemed as totally uninterested in the prospect of a fight with Spence.

It appears that the thirst for financial gain has altered Spence’s perception, leading to the upcoming bout between Spence and Thurman. The decision to compete in the junior middleweight division has left many individuals, including Jaron Ennis, puzzled and questioning the reasoning behind it.

The interim IBF champion from Philly, Ennis, eagerly anticipates Spence’s defense of his unified title against him. Meanwhile, he eagerly awaits the Spence vs. Thurman fight.

Despite acknowledging that Thurman still has some fighting left in him, Ennis believes that Spence’s power and pressure will lead to a late-round stoppage for the rising fighter.

Ennis told FightHype.com, “Thurman not bad or nothing, he can still fight, he can move, it ain’t gonna be easy but I think the pressure. I think Errol might stop him.”

Spence’s attempted negotiation with Terence Crawford for a fight fell through, but Thurman won’t be upset, as he is no stranger to long breaks from fighting due to injury.

The much-anticipated fight between Errol Spence Jr. and Keith Thurman

Errol Spence Jr., the reigning and unbeaten WBC Welterweight champion, was once quoted saying that he wouldn’t face off against Keith Thurman. But it seems like the champion reversed his stance. Although the match has been confirmed, Spence’s championships won’t be on the line, as the fight will take place in the junior middleweight division. Fans are frustrated that this fight is happening instead of Spence vs. Terence Crawford.

While the official date or ticket info has yet to be released, the fight is already scheduled for the coming April. Gilberto Mendoza has given Spence permission to fight outside his weight class without risking his 147-pound title.
