Jeff Mayweather Believes Nobody Dominated Anyone in Controversial Devin Haney vs. Gervonta Davis Sparring Clip Leaked by Ryan Garcia

At the New York press conference, Devin Haney claimed Ryan Garcia lacked in IQ and skills to fight ‘The Dream’. In addition, referring to Garcia’s loss against Gervonta Davis last year, Haney declared that Garcia quits “when it gets hot“. While Haney questioned Garcia’s abilities, ‘KingRy’ leaked the former’s sparring with ‘Tank’ Davis. Although Davis overpowered Haney in the clip, Jeff Mayweather felt otherwise.

In his latest interview with FightHype, Floyd Mayweather‘s uncle revealed whether or not he witnessed Haney vs. Davis live. Additionally, Jeff offered his assessment of the sparring match. Here is what he said.

In the clip shared by Ryan Garcia, Gervonta Davis had Devin Haney in a fix. Besides pushing ‘The Dream’ against the ropes, Davis landed his combinations, left uppercut, and body shots on ‘The Dream’. Until the end of the sessions, Davis controlled the fight’s momentum as Floyd Mayweather and Adrien Broner watched. But, after Garcia leaked the clip, Haney alleged that the video was “chopped up and edited“. Anyway, Jeff Mayweather felt the match was “kind of give-and-take.

I thought the sparring was kind of give-and-take. I didn’t see nobody dominating anyone,” said Jeff Mayweather. On being asked whether or not he watched the contest live, Jeff said, “I wasn’t there when it happened.” Meanwhile, Devin Haney’s father Bill Haney claimed what Garcia leaked only contained the “highlight parts“. As a result, Bill Haney said, “Dog house rules go to you stop so show the rest.

On the other hand, amid the drama, after Garcia leaked Davis’ sparring with ‘The Dream’, Haney said he lost his respect for ‘KingRy’.

“True professional” Haney loses respect for Garcia

After Garcia smoked w**d live on social media, Devin Haney did not want to attend the LA press conference. However, he finally did. Speaking about April 20th, Haney said he had respect for Garcia since they shared the ring six times as kids.
