Jessica McCaskill claims to have put a dent on Katie Taylor when they locked horns in 2017. Although Taylor walked away as the winner, McCaskill believes, she had exposed the unified lightweight champion’s flaws.

What’s more, McCaskill believes that everyone wanted to fight Katie Taylor after that night, hoping to exploit all her flaws. However, ‘The Bray Bomber’ has remained unbeaten to this day and is arguably the greatest female boxers of all time.

But that didn’t stop McCaskill from denouncing her. She connected with Sky Sports to shed light on a possible rematch with Taylor and how far she had come since fighting her for the first time.

“We gave Katie a great fight and almost knocked her out with a left hook,” said McCaskill. “She (Katie Taylor) hasn’t changed very much at all”

Despite losing the fight, McCaskill doesn’t wish to change anything if she could travel back in time. She believes to have taken the right road and a loss against Taylor is nothing but a mere setback. So, Jessica McCaskill used her defeat to pinpoint the flaws in Taylor’s game.

McCaskill continued, “It wasn’t that we weren’t prepared. We did everything that we were supposed to do. I wouldn’t go back and change anything – if I was on the wrong path, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

“I exposed a lot of her downfalls as a boxer. Then, everybody wanted to fight her.”
