Speaking on the upcoming match-up, Joyce claimed, “Yeah, I think it’s a great fight man- a 50/50 fight”. He pointed out, “I think they both got great power. Yeah, I think it’s going to be a good fight. Especially the fight with Ngannou and Fury- how close that was.” Joyce shared his anticipation over Ngannou fighting Joshua after Fury. When Francis Ngannou stepped into the boxing ring for the first time, his debut had a lot of fans doubting his capability as a boxer. What’s more is that he was fighting against one of the best heavyweight boxers in the world: Tyson Fury.

Thus, fans didn’t have much faith in his performance and expected the result to be similar to the previous times when MMA fighters entered the ring. However, as Joe Joyce also pointed out in his interview with Fight Hub TV, the result proved otherwise. Ngannou dominated the fight and even though he faced a controversial loss, his boxing prowess was out for everyone to see. And it looks like he will carry the same spirit with his upcoming clash

Ngannou remains confident ahead of the fight

Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou recently engaged in their first face-off, setting the stage for their heavyweight clash scheduled for March 8 in Riyadh. In a social media post by Ngannou, a snippet of their sit-down revealed Joshua putting the Cameroonian fighter on the hot seat, probing about his approach against Tyson Fury.

During the exchange, Joshua questioned Ngannou about his respect for Fury’s power. Ngannou diplomatically responded, stating, “I respect everybody’s power… everybody is a danger.” The behind-the-scenes clip concluded at that point, leaving the rest of the conversation undisclosed.

Ngannou, confident in his abilities, later expressed his belief in victory in an Instagram story. He highlighted his unique boxing journey, emphasizing, “Who has ever, for his first two fights in boxing, taken on the two best in the sport?” Ngannou asserted his confidence with a bold claim, declaring, “I’m Francis Ngannou.”
