An X user talked about how this means that he’s got himself challenging sparring partners rather than the easier opponents.

David Benavidez had faced some grueling sparring partners
David Benavidez understands that the 2008 Olympian Demetrius Andrade wouldn’t be an easy fight. For that reason, he’s been training hard because he knows he’ll have to bring his 100% for this fight. He even debunked the claims of fighting Denis Douglin, as he mentioned that he was just there for a couple of weeks, but now he isn’t part of his training camp.
