It is scheduled for July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. So unlike the first fight, they might not be entering history on their own. But still, the event, where their bout features as the co-main fight, carries the weight of historical proportions. However, some of the fans were not too happy about this development.

Amanda Serrano vs. Katie Taylor: A Sequel More Lethal

On her X/Twitter handle, ‘The Real Deal’ wrote how she had promised her fans a rematch with Katie Taylor. She wanted it to be a twelve-round (each lasting 3 minutes) fight. However, the Irish champion insisted on continuing with the standard ten-round (of 2 minutes each) format. So Serrano mentioned that since Taylor’s title was at stake, it was decided to follow what the light welterweight champion demanded.

‘The Real Deal’ said, “I believe I won our first fight, but I didn’t get the decision. This time, I’m not leaving it to the judges. No more, sweet Serrano. War mentality activated. Thank you, Jordan, Nakisa, Jake, Mike, and Netflix, for making the biggest women’s boxing event ever. See you soon, Katie.”
