Not so long ago, he revealed details about his wholesome relationship with Mayweather.

Keyshawn Davis holds Floyd Mayweather in high regard

In an interview with FightHype.com, Keyshawn Davis went on to call his relationship with Floyd Mayweather one of the closest ones ever. He considers Mayweather as his mentor, and not solely in boxing. Furthermore, waxing lyrical about Mayweather, he stated, “So like genuine, like he going to tell you what it is, you know what I mean. He’s not going to beat around a bush and that’s the type of n*** I am y’all know that, you know what I’m saying.”

Moreover, he shared the details of an incident when both of them hopped on a call at around 1 AM in the morning. He stated, “One time this man called me. We on the phone for like 2 hours, like 1:00 in the morning. Talk about business like them phone calls, if we can talk about anything we gotta talk about boxing at 1:00 in the morning, you know what I’m saying. So yeah Floyd’s a real n*** bro and he takes his time out to take care of the people that he respect, you know what I’m saying.”

But Davis was caught off guard when he got to know that Mayweather doesn’t only keep track of him, but his brothers as well. This impressed Keyshawn Davis a lot.

Davis was surprised when Mayweather talked about his brothers

At the beginning of the conversation about ‘Money’, Keyshawn Davis started off by mentioning that Mayweather keeps tabs on not only him but even his brothers. The three brothers, Keyshawn Davis, Kelvin Davis and Keon Davis, have dedicated their lives to the ‘sweet science’. Davis and his brothers, collectively known as DB3 (Davis Brothers 3), form a formidable force in the boxing arena.

Even his younger brother Keon is walking on a similar path, aspiring to make a mark in the Olympics and then turn professional. Davis surprisingly said, “Floyd f**k with DB3, not gonna lie to you, he came up to me and asked about me first. And he was like, ‘Yeah I see your two brothers going crazy too. Ain’t your younger one wants to go to the Olympics? Like what’s his name, Keon? Like your other ones signed with you with Top Rank too.’ Like he he love us as a group.”
