Tyson Fury, a British professional boxer, has been in the limelight for his exceptional boxing skills and his controversial behavior in and out of the ring. Steve Cunningham, who had been a good friend of Fury, has also called him out. Not only he, but the referee for their bout, the late Eddie Cotton, also came out and called out Tyson Fury. He referred to Fury as the dirtiest fighter he had ever seen. His interview resurfaced a month before his passing away. Cotton had a lot to say about Fury, and he did not hold back.

The Allegation by Eddie Cotton: Fury is the ‘dirtiest fighter’

Eddie Cotton refereed Tyson Fury’s bout against Steve Cunningham at Madison Square Garden. In a resurfaced interview, Cotton claimed that Fury was the “dirtiest fighter” he had ever seen in his 24-year career. Cotton explained that he warned Fury several times during the bout and even deducted a point from him in the fifth round for numerous violations, including elbow strikes, headbutting, and shoulder charges.

He said, “I warned him several times at one point. But in my 24 years as a pro referee, he’s one of the dirtiest fighters I ever had”.

However, Wilder reignited the beef and called Fury a cheater in an interview afterwards. It seems even Cunningham agrees with Wilder, he commented on Tyson’s glove movement. He said, “It’s not a flick jab. It’s a bobbling glove. Until this is explained, I stand my ground”.
